HELPING YOUR FRIEND THROUGH A BREAK-UP

Is your friend all broken-up over a break up? After the pint of ice-cream and bottle of Cab what are you supposed to do?

Glamour offers some advice on holding up your pal after they've had their heart crushed.

1. Hug Her. The power of touch works. A tight squeeze, a hand hold, rubbing her back -- she'll instantly feel a little safer and a little better.

2. Say Two Little Words. Yes, you may have heard the same story six times, but THE best thing you can say to your heartbroken friend is: "What else?" Not only are you showing your complete support, but that you want to hear everything she has to say, as long as it takes.

3. Boost Her Up. You want to tell her he's a fool ... but is he? It doesn't matter. Whether he dumped her because he's dumb or moved on to a genius supermodel, it's not going to help HER self-esteem. Focus on your friend, remind her of her great qualities and all the reasons you love her.
