REASONS WOMEN CHEAT

The common wisdom is that men cheat for physical reasons, while women stray for emotional reasons. That might be true in some cases, but not all.

Here are the reasons women gave for cheating on their boyfriends or husbands:

1. There's no passion. Your guy might be the sweetest man alive, but if there's no heat or electricity or plain ol' passion, you might be tempted to find it elsewhere.

2. To delay a breakup. You want to dump your guy, but the timing's bad (he just lost his dog, got fired, etc.), so you start dating someone else before you actually split.

3. You're alone too much. If you and your guy are apart for long periods of time, you might be drawn to other men, whether it's out of loneliness, horniness or boredom!

4. You deserve better. Face it -- your current mate might not be right for you. If you meet someone you're attracted to who seems like a better fit, it's hard not to go for it!

5. To give him a taste of his own medicine. Just found out your guy's a player? Some women react by going out and hooking up with the hottest guy they can find.

6. Something's missing in bed. Whether he's a bad kisser or fumbles too often in the sack, if the physical aspect isn't working, you might get your groove on elsewhere.

ARE YOU ADDICTED TO THE INTERNET?

We all depend on the Internet, email, cell phones, Facebook, etc. to keep us connected. But if the thought of not checking email or Facebook for a few hours (or minutes!) causes panic, you may be addicted. Here are a few ways to break free of your Internet addiction:

  • Make your bedroom a technology-free zone. No computers, iPhones, Blackberries or other cell phones allowed in the bedroom ... period!
  • Limit checking your email to certain times of the day. If you're online all day at work, try staying off the Internet at home.
  • Turn off instant notification. This way, you're not interrupted by a ding or pop-up notice every time you get a new email. Better yet, put your computer on "stand by" or shut it down whenever you don't need it, so you're not tempted.
  • Manage expectations. Let family and friends know you check email only 2-3 times a day so they don't always expect you to respond instantly.
